During the winter of 2002 an idea was presented to create a group that would stand out from all the others.  One that would take your breath away.  One that did not require members to feel bound by tons of rules and regulations.  One where a women would be free to express herself without fear of rejection or humiliation.

Three women worked endless hours tossing a variety of names and themes around.  Then one day it happened.   A name was finally agreed upon.  The three women purchased the domain and all the headaches that go with it.  Soon the pages became something even they could not believe.  Many days they were overwhelmed with the talent of one Lady in particular.  She has even been dubbed "The Professor" - lolol  After many months of intense graphic work Ladies of Distinction was created and opened their Inn on October 1, 2002.

Update 2005:  Since the opening of Ladies of Distinction many changes have taken place.  One of the founders was lost to cancer and one has chosen to retire from the computer world.  Today only one original founder remains assisted by four wonderful ladies.  Without their help and support this group would not have survived.  The Inn has grown in size with the addition of new rooms and outdoor areas.

Part of the Inn remains open to the public.  From the Main Foyer you can enter the beautiful Garden area with a Gift Shoppe, Art Gallery and Adoption Room for all visitors to use.  If you like you can even browse one of the many hallways which house several rooms offering you information about Ladies of Distinction, an application to join, plus a Library that houses links for Recipes, Tubes, Tutorials, and the like.  There is a special wing of the Inn which is reserved for Members Only.  It is password protected so you will not be able to visit there until you become a member.
